1. Harley-Davidson recently debuted a new motorcycle, the Sportster 1200N Nightster. The motorcycle includes several unique features for Harley including chopped front/rear fenders, side-mount license plate, stop-tail-turn signals, front fork gaiters, rawboned graphics and a new finish on the V-Twin Evolution engine. Bucking the system, the motorcycle features mostly black features instead of chrome.

MOTORCYCLE DEMO RIDES FOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON AND BUELL TO BE LOCATED IN RAPID CITY
MILWAUKEE (May 19, 2006) - Harley-Davidson events for the 66th Annual Black Hills Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, S.D. from Aug. 7-13, 2006 are changing this year and will include a variety of additional activities in Rapid City, S.D.
The Sturgis Rally provides a chance for many motorcycle enthusiasts to see and ride the brand-new 2007 Harley-Davidson and Buell models for the first time. This year, both Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycle demo rides will begin at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, which will be convenient for riders. Those with a valid license and appropriate riding gear can try out the 2007 line-up of Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycles Aug. 5-12 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily.
Harley-Davidson and Buell events in Rapid City will run from Saturday, Aug. 5 through Saturday, Aug. 12. Activities at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center will include Harley-Davidson and Buell displays, outdoor events, the Harley-Davidson Traveling Museum, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Auction and Bike Raffle, and a free bike wash. The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) will host a reception for its members on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 5-8 p.m.
Enthusiasts can see hundreds of cool customized Harleys and even show their own custom Harley-Davidson or Buell motorcycle at the Motor Company’s Ride-In Motorcycle Show, which takes place on Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The event helps support MDA, while presenting awards and prizes in various categories of models and customization.
The latest schedule of Harley-Davidson events at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City is as follows:
- H.O.G. members-only reception: Aug. 5, 5-8 p.m., active members can bring one guest
- Indoor Show: Aug. 6-11, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Aug. 12, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., 2007 Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycles, Parts & Accessories, MotorClothes, Willie G. merchandise, H.O.G. Hospitality area and other displays
- Demo Rides: Harley-Davidson and Buell models, Aug. 5-12, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Ride-In Show: Compete for prizes or just check out these cool and customized motorcycles, Aug. 10
- Harley-Davidson Traveling Museum and free bike wash
There will also be an official H.O.G. pin stop at the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Association) Screamin’ Eagle Performance Parts Race at the Rally Aug. 6-7 at Sturgis Dragway.
