Harley-Davidson Rider's Edge New Rider Course Trains 100,000 Student

NAPLES, Fla. (May 3, 2007) - Harley-Davidson’s Rider’s Edge New Rider Course trained its 100,000th student, Michael Lambert of Estero, Fla., on March 22-26, at Harley-Davidson of Naples.

Lambert, age 39, decided to learn to ride a motorcycle when he fell in love with the dark and sinister 2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL1200N Nightster. Earlier this year, while waiting for the restaurant next to the dealership to open, Lambert took a stroll through the sales area to check out the new motorcycles. When he saw the new Nightster, he had to have it. Lambert planned to buy the Nightster after he completed the New Rider Course, but unfortunately the last one was sold only 2 hours before the end of his class. Lambert eagerly waited for the next one to be delivered to the dealership, and he was finally able to take home his new Nightster on April 21.

(NYSE:HOG) announced today that it is updating guidance for motorcycle shipments for the first quarter of 2007 and financial guidance for the full year. (February 16, 2007) - Harley-Davidson reported today that it has reached a tentative labor agreement with representatives of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local 175 in York. The agreement is subject to membership ratification and a vote is expected to occur the week of Feb. 19. If approved, the agreement would end a strike by Harley-Davidson’s 2,800 unionized employees in York that began February 2.

The Company has not disclosed terms of the proposed agreement or the timing of a possible resumption of motorcycle production in York.

Revenue for the quarter was $1.50 billion compared to $1.34 billion in the year-ago quarter, an 11.9 percent increase. Net income for the quarter was $252.4 million compared to $230.0 million, an increase of 9.7 percent over the fourth quarter of 2005.
